Immunisation
Holiday & Travel
If you are intending to travel abroad you will almost certainly take out travel insurance. You should contact us to discuss another form of insurance - VACCINATIONS. All of our nurses can advise you on all aspects of travel health and what vaccinations you will need to ensure safe travel. It is important that you contact the surgery approximately two months before you are going to travel. We are also a registered yellow fever centre. There is a charge for some vaccinations.
If you are abroad for three months or more, your medical records may be recalled by the family health service authority (as you are no longer living in our practice area). On return you will need to re-register with your doctor. We have no control over this procedure. We advise you to check your registration with us on return.
